When clean feels a little too clean.
You wash your face, rinse it off and there it is — that tight, squeaky feeling.
It feels satisfying. Almost like proof that all the dirt and oil are gone.
But here's the thing: your skin isn't supposed to feel tight.
Saaf toh hai, but is it too clean?
So, what is that feeling?
Your skin naturally has oils, water and lipids that help keep its protective barrier comfortable and balanced.
When a cleanser is too harsh or you cleanse too often, it can remove more of these natural oils than your skin needs. That's when you may notice that tight, dry or stretched feeling after washing.
Clean doesn't have to mean stripped.
Does that mean foam or oil is bad?
Not at all.
Foam itself isn't automatically bad, and neither is every foaming cleanser. What matters is the overall formula, how you use it and how your skin responds.
Some cleansers simply create more foam because of the surfactants they contain. Others create very little foam and can still clean effectively.
So don't judge a cleanser only by how much it lathers.
What should clean skin actually feel like?
After cleansing, your skin should feel fresh and comfortable, not tight or uncomfortable.
If your face constantly feels dry, stretched or irritated after washing, it may be worth taking a closer look at your cleanser or how often you're using it.
A little reminder from us
Skincare isn't about removing everything from your skin.
Your skin has its own balance — and sometimes, skin ko sambhalna, usse sab kuch hata dene se zyada zaroori hota hai.
Because taking care of your skin isn't about making it feel squeaky clean.
It's about helping it feel comfortable, balanced and cared for.
